The Bentley Municipal Library is open! In efforts to keep our community safe we will be sticking with curbside hours for the months of June, July & August. 

Curbside pick up hours:

Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Fridays from 3:00 to 7:00 PM
Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM


While the library building is currently closed to the public, we are committed to staying relevant in our community during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Our library staff members are here to help you and provide instructions on how to request via the online catalogue, sign you up with a library membership, and fulfill your scanning/printing needs. Please contact us via phone or email for assistance. 

You can access our eLibrary resources, such as PressReader, CloudLibrary, Solaro and more with your library membership. 

Activity Kits are available every Monday and are put outside our front door in a weather proof tote.Activity Kits are free and available for pickup when its convenient for our patrons.

The Bentley Municipal Library connects the community to a world of imagination and discovery promoting a love of reading, lifelong learning and creative pursuits in a friendly and welcoming space. We value our patrons, volunteers and staff.

Plan of Service

Each public library board in Alberta is required to file with the province a plan of service outlining service priorities, goals and objectives. See the Bentley Municipal Library Plan of Service for 2017-2021.

Computer Policies

  1. Persons 12 and under must have active parental supervision.
  2. There is a 30 minute time limit when others are waiting.
  3. Users must sign in and out.
  4. No outside discs, CDs, or software allowed.
  5. No access to chat lines or inappropriate sites.
  6. Printing is $.25/page for black and white and $.50/page for colour.

General Policies

With the exception of service animals, we do not allow animals in the library. For the rest of our Library Policies please visit the library or ask our library staff for more information.

Your Privacy

The Bentley Municipal Library is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to its website. In accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP), and with our policy on the Confidentiality of Users & Records, your personal information will not be collected on this website unless you choose to use online products and services that require it. Your personal information will then only be used to provide you with the library services that you select, and for no other purpose. Bentley Municipal Library does not track the websites you visit when using library computers.

Parkland Regional Library uses Google Analytics to see how library websites are being used. The data retrieved from Google Analytics is anonymous; we are not able to connect it with specific users. For people who prefer to disable Google Analytics tracking of their web use, Google provides a browser add-on that automatically prevents information from being sent to Google Analytics.
